Heli Hartikainen’s concert CHRONOVARIATIONS interlaces acoustic and electronic sound and combines minimalist ambience and experimental avant garde. Continuously changing sound fields and variation chains manipulate the perception of the temporal reference point and wrap the listener in an immersive sound stream.

The work was last performed in its entirety at Flow Festival 2022 on The Other Sound X Sun Effects stage, where it was excellently received. The CHRONOVARIATIONS album was recorded binaurally in the St. Henrik Church in Nousiainen in March 2023 and will be published later in 2023.

Performers

  • Heli Hartikainen, tenor saxophone, composition, concept
  • Esther Calderón Morales, live electronics and programming

According to current information, the entrance to Mannerheimintie will also remain in use throughout the renovation, but pedestrian routes can be challenging at times.

We recommend following the official information channels of the renovation project, where you can find the most up-to-date information.
