Reacclimating the Stage (Skenomorphoses) / The Final Stage

Vincent Roumagnac’s installation The Final Stage consists of the restaging of the online doctoral publication Reacclimating the Stage (Skenomorphoses), supplemented by the simultaneous reactivation of several artworks generated in the framework of the doctoral artistic research project (2015-2020). The installation opening is on Tuesday, September 1, at 6 pm.

Vincent Roumagnac is a French-Basque theatre artist and researcher based in Finland and France who has presented his works broadly in different domestic and international platforms. During 2015-2020, Roumagnac has conducted his doctoral artistic research project Reacclimating the Stage (Skenomorphoses) at the Performing Arts Research Centre in the University of the Arts Helsinki’s Theatre Academy. His work materializes through multiple forms such as installations, performances, and videoscenic acts. He is interested in the way the notion and the practice of the “stage” evolve through contemporary climate-morphing and techno-ecological conditioning.

Roumagnac’s doctoral artistic research project received the generous support of Kone Foundation and CIMO Fellowships programme.
