TENURE TRACKS IS: UNIVERSITY TEACHER (FIXED TERM 3-5 YEARS AND THEN EVALUATION, ESTABLISHING PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT AS LECTURER. LECTURER: THOSE WHO ADVANCE ARE OFFERED A PERMANENT POSITION. FIXED-TERM POSITION UPON RECRUITMENT (5 YEARS), MAY LEAD TO A PERMANENT POSITION AS LECTURER OR UNIVERSITY LECTURER. THOSE WHO ADVANCE UNDERGO AN EVALUATION TO DETERMINE SUITABILITY AS LECTURER. UNIVERSITY LECTURER: EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT IS VALID UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
OTHER FIXED-TERM POSITIONS. LECTURER (FIXED TERM): FIXED-TERM POSITION DURING A SPECIFIC TIME PERIOD, WITH THE PURPOSE OF A DEVELOPING ART FIELDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STRATEGY OR LAUNCHING NEW INITIATIVES. VISITING LECTURER (FIXED TERM): FIXED-TERM POSITION DURING A SPECIFIC TIME PERIOD, A PARTICULARLY DISTINGUISHED VISITOR E.G. FROM ANOTHER UNIVERSITY OR FROM AN ART ORGANISATION.

Minimum qualifications for recruitment

University teacher

  • Diverse teaching skills
  • Proven ability to utilise feedback in the  development of teaching, as demonstrated through one’s educational background and/or work experience
  • Proven ability to develop one’s teaching, as  demonstrated through one’s educational  background and/or work experience
  • Proven ability to organise teaching, demonstrated  through one’s educational background and/or work experience
  • Proven ability to utilise artistic activities and/ or research in teaching/in the development of teaching, as demonstrated through one’s educational background and/or work experience

Lecturer

  • Diverse teaching skills
  • Experience in utilising feedback in the development of teaching and working with  feedback systems
  • Experience in the development of one’s subject and/or teaching and participating in curriculum  work
  • Experience in organising teaching
  • Experience in utilising artistic activities and/or research in teaching/the development of teaching
  • Pedagogical studies or pedagogical competence gained in some other manner

University lecturer

  • Diverse teaching skills
  • Broad teaching experience in bachelor’s and  master’s education and/or doctoral education
  • Merits in utilising feedback in the development of  teaching and working with feedback systems
  • Development of a field of study, one’s subject and/or teaching and participation in curriculum work*Merits in organising teaching
  • Merits in utilising artistic activities and/or research in teaching/the development of teaching
  • Pedagogical studies or pedagogical competence gained in some other manner
  • Pedagogical management (e.g. experience as the head of a degree programme)

  • Proven ability to build networks based on  educational background and/or work experience

Lecturer

  • Strong merits in working in the arts and/or research
  • Experience in working in an artistic group and/or a research group or being active in innovation and  development activities
  • Experience in establishing artistic groups and/or research groups
  • Experience in Finnish and/or international cooperation and networking

University lecturer
