Chamber Music Finals of the International Maj Lind Piano Competition
Six participants will be selected for the Chamber Music Final. The pianists will perform a piano quartet with either the Kamus or the Meta4 Quartet.
Repertoire is one of the following piano quartets for piano, violin, viola and cello:
- Beethoven E-flat major op. 16
- Brahms C minor op. 60
- Dvořák E-flat major op. 87
- Fauré C minor op. 15
- Mozart E-flat major K. 493
- Schumann E-flat major op. 4
International Maj Lind Competition 14-27 October 2022
The high-profile International Maj Lind Piano Competition will be bringing around 40 young keyboard virtuosi from all over the world to Helsinki in October. The lucky competition applicants will play a wide selection of familiar works by composers ranging from Beethoven to Sibelius and from Rachmaninov to Chopin, but also more recent repertoire. The contestants successful in the exciting first two rounds will proceed to the Chamber Music Final. The competition will culminate in Orchestral Finals at the Helsinki Music Centre in which the best six contestants will perform a piano concerto with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
