The Enchanted Girl of Code 24: a neo-colonial myth
A ritual-infused, multilingual myth about two Latine girls, ancestral memory, and neo-colonial tension unfolding on a night out.
The Enchanted Girl of Code 24 is a ritual-infused, multilingual performance that centers two Latine girls navigating a night where folklore, desire, and neo-colonial tensions intertwine. Drawing from Panamanian myth and ancestral memory, the work blends magical realism, language, and water-based staging to explore the unseen forces shaping girlhood and cultural identity.
Performed in Spanish, English, and Finnish, the piece offers a haunting and atmospheric encounter with the stories that protect—and haunt—our communities.
