Artistic research by Satu Olkkonen focuses on events and public performances.
Introduction
A research project Terveisiä! is an artistic research, a performance, implemented together with the Finnish Red Cross Youth Shelters. The project consists of research events and public performances. The knowledge conveyed by the performance is understood as greetings and dialogue from the youth to another.
The research project brings up the power structure relation between youth and the society.
The project has been funded by Keski-Suomen rahasto and Kone Foundation.
Hashtag of the project is #niinkumunasioista.
The performance was dusting the accustomed ideas about age-related roles, detaching children and youth from the grey general categories to individuals and influencers of the society.
