Young artists of Summer: Antti Salovaara

Antti Salovaara’s concert “Music for the everyday play”

Antti Salovaara’s Young Artists of Summer concert consists of music from an everyday play, new chamber music for bassoon. The works interweave themes of social, verbal, physical and communal display. What does the communal Kawaii of bassoon and piano look / sound like? Is a prepared piano with leather gloves the new Hammond? Does exercising in nice clothes make exercise more effective? And what does the imaginary laughing gas taste like at a house party? Does identity mean anything?Between the pieces, you can listen to recitations of poet Karoliina Kuisma’s poems.
