Students from the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki and the Musikhochschule Hannover joined forces in May 2017 to form a symphony orchestra together. In concerts in both Finland and in Germany, the orchestra performed music by Magnus Lindberg and Gustav Mahler. Join us on a small tour backstage - we followed the concert preparations ffrom the dephts of Helsinki Music Centre instrument storage to the rehearsals on stage at the Järvenpää house in Finland. What do the students talk about when waiting for the concert to begin, while eating a delicious slice of pizza? Food, of course. And the highlights of Finnish cuisine.
