Listening Across Spaces
Programme
Luigi Nono: La lontananza nostalgica utopica futura
- Tereza Horáková, violin
- Sarah Jedličková, electronics / sound projection
Visiting artists from HAMU, Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Czech Republic.
La lontananza nostalgica utopica futura (1988–89) is a composition for solo violin and eight-channel recorded sound by Italian composer Luigi Nono.
The work unfolds through movement, listening and the interaction between live violin and recorded sounds. The violinist moves between music stands distributed throughout the performance space, while the electronic sounds create shifting relationships of proximity, distance and memory.

48 hours to write a banger? No problem!
2025 saw the birth of the so-called MuTe Song Challenge — a roughly once-per-month event in which music technology students write original pieces inspired by a mystery theme, typically over a tight two-day timespan.
The MuTeBand 48:1 concert condenses the Challenge into an evening of its greatest hits, rearranged specifically for the wonderful MuTeBand.
Hold your horses, hammers and shoes, and prepare to experience the emotions of 48 hours in one!
