Global fest: Within Worlds: Worlds Within
A sonic meeting point of the worlds we carry within, featuring original works co-developed with musicians from different parts of the globe.
“As I move through the world, the world moves through me.” Alisa’s compositions are an honest reflection of the multiple worlds that, like a mosaic, have become an integral part of her being. Raised in the multicultural California – across the ocean from her Russian roots, where she spent her childhood summers –, artistically transformed by her Global Music studies in Helsinki, and deeply impacted by her three-month musical journey through Chile, Peru, and Mexico, each of these influences materializes through her compositional process.
Her practice also centers intercultural co-creation and the honoring of each collaborator’s multidimensional inner world in shared musical moments. This concert will feature a series of works which, after initially emerging from Alisa’s mosaic, underwent collaborative processes that merged multiple worlds and developed new, co-created layers.
We warmly welcome you to this raw musical journey that explores the worlds we hold within.
