Global Fest: Meghpothik : The Soul of a Wandering Cloud
A Journey Through Changing Skies.
Like a cloud traveling across an endless sky, we move through changing landscapes of love, longing, nostalgia, joy, sorrow, and hope. The cloud becomes a reflection of the self: always moving, always changing, yet carrying its own quiet sense of belonging.
Meghpothik is a personal musical journey by Bangladeshi vocalist Keka Mirza, rooted in the rich musical tradition of Nazrul Sangeet, alongside the classical and diverse traditions of Bengali music. Now living and studying in Finland, she stays connected to her musical roots while exploring new sounds and cross-cultural possibilities.
In this Master’s concert, Keka weaves traditional and contemporary Bengali music, original compositions, and cross-cultural collaborations into a vibrant musical journey. Joined by an international ensemble of musicians, she takes the audience through shifting moods, rich textures, and unexpected musical encounters, where emotions unfold and transform like clouds across changing skies.
Meghpothik is a journey between roots and new horizons — carrying the nostalgia of one home while discovering the possibility of another.
