Global fest: Karakatum
Karaka-Tum is a percussion ensemble that forms part of a course offered by the Global Music programme.
The ensemble explores rhythm and how people can engage with it through body percussion, vocal percussion, and a variety of percussion instruments from around the world.

Global Fest
Global Fest is an annual festival featuring students, teachers, alumni and special guests representing Sibelius Academy’s Global music programme. The global music studies embraces pluralistic, fluid approaches to sound, culture and identity, creating new hybrid musical spaces through intercultural dialogue and collaboration.
