Folk music from the Uniarts Helsinki: Meetings
Ruusu Saksio’s degree concert
Meetings is a wrap-up of some of the most personally influencing musical encounters that Ruusu Saksio has experienced during their travels through the nordics with the Nordic Master in Folk Music education.
Ruusu and the band paint pictures of the different emotions that spring from succesful strong musical interplay, contrasted with what stems from a musician when things don’t go according to plan. There will be music from the nordic countries, with some composed snapshots of the places Ruusu and the NoFos have visited.
Artists
- Vija Moore, percussion
- Carolina Stenbäck, cello
- Janeta Österberg, accordion
- Henrica Westerholm, violin
- Matleena Kohonen, kantele/vocals
- Geneviève Andræssen, vocals/nyckelharpa
- Ruusu Saksio, vocals/accordion
Changes are possible.
