Registration for the conferment ceremony 2024
Registration for the conferment festivities is open 8 January – 31 May 2024.
Uniarts Helsinki will organise its next conferment ceremony for masters and doctors on 16–18 August 2024. The conferment festivities will include, for example, a conferment concert, the actual conferment ceremony, a procession, a church service or a non-denominational event, a dinner and an excursion organised by the Student Union.
Registration
The online registration form is open 8 January – 31 May 2024. You can participate in the festivities alone or with a companion.
Registration guidelines
Master’s graduates
- Registration opens on 8 January 2024 first for master’s graduates who have graduated after 1 June 2018
- Registration opens for all master’s graduates who have not yet participated in a conferment ceremony on 1 May 2024
- Registration closes on 31 May 2024
Doctoral graduates
- Registration opens for all doctor’s graduates from Uniarts Helsinki who have not yet participated in a conferment ceremony on 8 January 2024 and closes on 31 May 2024
June graduates
- Those graduating in June 2024 can pre-register for the conferment ceremony during the registration period, i.e., from 8 January to 31 May 2024
- Their registration will be confirmed after the verification of graduation information in June
Participation fee
- The amount of the participation fee depends on whether you participate in all conferment festivities or only in the events on Saturday.
- Registration is binding
Conferment register
- Before the conferment ceremony, a conferment book, i.e. a register will be printed, and it will include personal information of the honorary doctors and the promovendi, i.e. the doctoral and master’s graduates participating in the conferment event.
- Your registration confirmation message will include a link to a page where you can submit the required information for the conferment book.
- Information for the register must be submitted by 31 May.
Dress code
- Attendees of the conferment ceremony dress according to the conferment tradition. Dress code will be published later.
Photography in the event
- All conferment-related events will be photographed and filmed.
- The images will be stored in the university’s media database and shared via a link on the conferment ceremony website. The images will also be used in the university’s news articles concerning the event.
- By participating in the event, you give your consent to having images published on the university’s media platforms. If you wish to not have images published of you, please contact promootio@uniarts.fi.
Personal data will be collected and processed in connection with the registration.
