If an adequate number of applicants meeting the selection criteria cannot be found, fewer than the number of students shown above can be admitted. If there are no applicants that meet the admissions criteria, some programmes may choose not to admit new students.

An applicant may not apply for both a five-year programme and two-year Master’s studies in the same degree programme in the same year (Directing, Dramaturgy and Playwriting, Lighting Design, Sound Design). If an applicant submits an application for both the five-year programme and two-year Master’s studies, only the application for the five-year programme will be considered.

Waiting list

Some programmes also place students on waiting lists. The decision on applicants placed on the waiting list will be published in connection with the admission decisions. The applicants placed on a waiting list, too, will have to meet the admissions criteria of the degree programme in question.

An applicant that has been placed on a waiting list may only be admitted if someone who has been admitted to the programme in question does not accept the offered place in the programme, or if someone who has been admitted only under certain conditions fails to submit the necessary documents by the end of the deadline.

If a specific degree programme does not admit any new students, applicants to that programme will not be placed on a waiting list.
