Soiva kieli: I am fire and water
Pianists and singers perform Edith Södergran’s poems.
Edith Södergran (1892–1923) was only 31 years old when she passed away, but her voice still rings loud 100 years later. The power of her words shapes and fills the space in our concert. A concert in which songs composed to her words meet her poetry as spoken word. Edith Södergran – no explanations needed.
The concert focuses on Edith Södergran’s poems. Five singers and their pianist together with stage director J. Martina Roos create a staged, dramatised concert in honor of Edith Södergran.

In Sibelius Academy’s Soiva kieli vocal music series, four lied concerts are performed each year by vocal arts and piano students. The Artistic Director of the series is Keval Shah, lecturer in Lied.
Mannerheimintie renovation project
Access to the Musiikkitalo from the direction of Mannerheimintie will be difficult. We recommend that you allow enough time for your arrival and use the entrance on the side of Kansalaistori if possible. According to current information, the entrance to Mannerheimintie will also remain in use throughout the renovation, but pedestrian routes can be challenging at times.
