Music Centre’s summer concert: Bäckström/Friman/Jensen
Bäckström/Friman/Jensen (FI/DK) is a new exciting collaboration between the Finish musicians Lassi Friman (guitar), Jonathan Bäckström (bass) and Danish drummer Jens Emil Jensen. Each of the musicians have made their mark on the local jazz scenes, as well as internationally, and with this trio they seek to create a new, exciting Nordic sound. The trio has its roots in traditional standard jazz but with a modern twist and a creative approach to playing together, resulting in an interesting expression. Their repertoire consists of new interpretations of jazz standards and original compositions from all three members.
Performers
- Lassi Friman, guitar
- Jonathan Bäckström, bass
- Jens Emil Jensen, drums
Mannerheimintie renovation project
Access to the Musiikkitalo from the direction of Mannerheimintie will be difficult. We recommend that you allow enough time for your arrival and use the entrance on the side of Kansalaistori if possible. According to current information, the entrance to Mannerheimintie will also remain in use throughout the renovation, but pedestrian routes can be challenging at times.
