Global Spring: Pieleen mennyt satukirja

Pieleen mennyt satukirja (‘Fairytale book gone wrong’) is a collaboration by Porttiteatteri and the Global Music students of Sibelius Academy. In the performance, the raw poetry slam of the Porttiteatteri performers is accompanied by magical soundscapes produced by Sibelius Academy students.

The performance provides a peek at the wishes and fates of the performers with a criminal background through images on their skin. The unfinished, overlapping DIY tattoos made in prison open a door in the tragicomical world behind their bearer.

Porttiteatteri is a community theatre for prisoners to be released and performers with a criminal background, led by art professionals.
