About the Artist

Janne Punkari’s artistic practice is rooted in photography, photographic thinking and the moving image. Diverse materials come together to create installations that engage with space. Micro-observations unfold into expansive macrocosms. Materials transform, taking on new roles. Dust, cosmic surfaces, and bugs occupy the same orbit. The very atmosphere of the space is reconfigured.
