University management

The rector manages the university’s operational activities with support from the Executive Group.

Introduction

Master of Music Kaarlo Hildén is the Rector of Uniarts Helsinki for a five-year term from 1 December 2020 to 30 November 2025.

The rector is supported by an Executive Group, which is a discussion body whose members make decisions within their remits.

In addition to the rector, the members of the Executive Group are Vice Rector for Education Marjo Kaartinen, Vice Rector for Research Jaana Erkkilä-Hill, Sibelius Academy Dean Emilie Gardberg, Theatre Academy Dean Otso Huopaniemi, Academy of Fine Arts Dean Leevi Haapala, HR and Service Director Riikka Mäki-Ontto, Finance Director Tiina Laino-Asikainen and Director of Communications and External Relations Eveliina Olsson.

The chair of the Executive Group is the rector, and Senior Advisor Katja Kiviharju acts as the secretary.
