Timothy Smith

Timothy Smith, Ph.D., MFA, is an artist, educator, and university researcher in the Artist Pedagogy theme at the Research Institute. Their research focuses on critical disability and neurodiversity studies approaches to higher education in the arts, with a particular emphasis on analyzing and challenging ableism in university institutions. Their current research project is titled “Artistic Processes of University Art Students Self-Identifying Along the Neurodiversity Spectrum”. The study seeks to learn about the neurodiversity experience of students’ engagement with artistic thinking through their artistic processes.
