Kuva/Tila is the venue for exhibitions, performances and other events mainly for students, teachers, alumni and visiting artists of Uniarts Helsinki’s Academy of Fine Arts.

Academy of Fine Arts' new building on Sörnäisten rantatie.
Tuomas Uusheimo

The spacious new Kuva/Tila gallery on the ground floor of Mylly is full of light, and with almost 750 square metres, it can be used for a variety of purposes. The space makes it possible for artists to present all sorts of works and projects and facilitates experimentations of various kinds.

The large exhibition space is almost eight metres high, and the seven massive windows open a view of the exhibitions to people passing by on the street. The smaller gallery space includes two black boxes, which can be used, for example, to present video works.

The exhibitions may sometimes spread to the other floors of the building. In such case, please follow the signage!

You can access the galleries through the entrance on Sörnäisten rantatie.
