Theatre Academy’s admissions results 2026

Applicants admitted as students and those placed on the waiting list receive an email of the admissions results on the day when the admission decision is published.

Based on the results of the entrance examinations of the Theatre Academy of the University of the Arts, the persons listed below are accepted as students in the Theatre Academy for education beginning in the academic year 2026-2027.

Announcement of Results – Change of Study Right within University

Based on the application and entrance examinations, the Dean of the Theatre Academy has decided to accept the following change in main subject:

Accepting the offered study place

You need to accept the study place no later than 9 July 2026 at 15:00 (Finnish time) or you will lose your place (Universities Act 38 §). Late notifications will not be considered.

Accepting a study place is a binding choice, and you cannot cancel or change your choice later. When you accept a study place bindingly, all your other study programmes will automatically be cancelled. You may accept only one study place leading to a higher education degree in Finland that begins in the same academic term (1 August – 31 December).

You can accept the offer of admission with the link in the email that you have received (sender noreply@opintopolku.fi). Click the given link and confirm your study place. If you have a Finnish social security number and Finnish online banking credentials (with e-identification enabled), mobile certificate or an electronic ID-card, you can accept the admission offer only by using the My Studyinfo -service (https://opintopolku.fi/oma-opintopolku/). If you cannot accept your study place electronically, instructions for accepting the study place will be provided in the acceptance message sent by Admissions Services.

Request for rectification

If you are dissatisfied with the admissions decision, you can request for rectification of this decision within 14 days of the publication of the admissions results (Universities Act 82 §). The purpose of a written request for rectification is to give you the possibility to appeal and request for rectification if there is a reason to believe that there has been an error in the decision-making process. The rectification procedure is not intended as a means for receiving feedback or asking for further information about the admissions process.

Study voucher

The study voucher is a state-funded experiment that makes it possible to study a maximum of 30 credits of studies free of charge at an open university or open university of applied sciences. If you belong to the target group, the state will support your studies. By using a study voucher, you can get to know university studies and try out study options that interest you, for example, during a gap year.

The study voucher is intended for young first-time applicants under the age of 29. You are entitled to a study voucher if you have completed an upper secondary qualification (graduated from an upper secondary school or an upper secondary vocational school) in Finland, applied for a higher education place in the joint application process and were left without a study place, or you have not accepted a study place. The study voucher can be used by those who graduated between 1 December 2025 and 30 June 2028.

The study voucher can be activated in the Opin.fi service starting 4 August 2026. It is valid for two years from the date of activation.
