The Sibelius Academy Chamber Orchestra and Tuomas Lehto
Immerse yourself in the music of Mozart, Haydn and Šostakovich conducted by Tuomas Lehto.

In this concert, Tuomas Lehto conducts the chamber orchestra of the Sibelius Academy. Saima Malmivaara performs as the soloist of the Haydn cello concerto.
Lehto performs actively as a solo performer and chamber musician around the world, and he can be heard regularly at several music festivals. Lehto is the first soloist of the Radio Sinfonia Orchestra, the cellist of Uusi Helsinki Quartet, a member of Total Cello Ensemble and the artistic director of the KuruFest festival.
In addition to the works of Haydn and Mozart, the concert will include the chamber symphony by Šostakovich which is an adaptation of the composer’s eighth string quartet.
