Music Centre’s summer concert: Northflip!
World of music – Sound of north.
Northflip is a collaboration of two strong instrumentalists Viivi Maria Saarenkylä (accordion) and J-P Piirainen (acoustic guitar). Flipping seamlessly between tradition and popular culture, the vivid music of this Northern duo is bustling influences from near and far. But the North is deep in the duo’s DNA and the music grooves like a snowball rolling down the hill – mingling these inspirations and impulses into a thrilling core of new Finnish music.

Mannerheimintie renovation project
Access to the Musiikkitalo from the direction of Mannerheimintie will be difficult. We recommend that you allow enough time for your arrival and use the entrance on the side of Kansalaistori if possible. According to current information, the entrance to Mannerheimintie will also remain in use throughout the renovation, but pedestrian routes can be challenging at times.
