Riikka Aihinen

About the Artist

Riikka Aihinen (b. 1976) paints a non-verbal story of existence. In the intimate and abstract space of the painting, the past, present and future are intertwined. The works whisper with their monochromaticity, asking to stop. Aihinen graduated from the Lahti Art Institute with a Bachelor of Arts degree and is currently studying for a Master of Arts degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki. Aihinen’s most recent solo exhibition was in 2024 at the Forum Box in Helsinki.
