Alvi Hatakka

About The Artist

Alvi Hatakka b. 1997) creates works that speak of what rises to the surface when he is at rest. This creative state is, for him, the opposite of performing, achieving, and rushing. The ideas for his works stem from everyday observations and often explore the learned ways in which we try to be worthy of love.

Through sculpture, Hatakka seeks to examine what we want to display and present – and what, in turn, we wish to hide. At the core of his working process are honesty and well-being.
