The Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike), Uniarts Helsinki, Turku University of Applied Sciences and Novia University of Applied Sciences are joining forces to organise an event focusing on the future of art, scheduled for Flora Day on 13 May at 14:00–17:00 in the Organo Hall of the Helsinki Music Centre.

The event has been inspired by the national visions compiled for arts education in 2020–2022 and by the plans presented in Petteri Orpo’s Government Programme about compiling a cultural policy report, which aims at producing an ambitious vision for the cultural sector.

The aim of the event is to bring together arts professionals of the future, in particular, as well as political decision-makers of both the present day and future. Uniarts Helsinki’s students, staff and alumni are warmly welcome to join the event. The programme for the event will be published at the turn of March and April.

The event will be held mainly in Finnish, but questions and comments can be presented also in Swedish and English. Organo is accessible by lift from the main lobby of the Helsinki Music Centre, and there is an induction loop available in the space.
