KUVA Research Days 9-11.12.2019
The Academy of Fine Arts Research Days are now organized for the fifth time – this year’s dates are 9–11 December 2019 and the venue, as before, is the Exhibition Laboratory gallery.
This year’s KuvA Research Days lead us to ponder the preconditions and urgent questions of the human experience. How does artistic thinking meet the dead end of fossil capitalism? What kinds of actor networks should artistic research position itself in? What is the shape of arts discourse if the focus is shifted away from humans? What role do we give to the work and its materiality in experiencing art? Can experimentality offer tools for dealing with extreme phenomena and for building a sustainable future?

The “Conflict of the Faculties” one-day show on 12.12.2019 of a conceptual sculpture by Ilya Orlov is a collateral event to KuvA Research Days 2019.
