Marika Orenius

Introduction

I am a visual artist, researcher, and educator. In my role as a Lecturer in Art Pedagogy at the Academy of Fine Arts and the Open Campus, these practices intersect. My work focuses on developing, designing, and teaching art pedagogical practices and competencies for fine artists at the Academy of Fine Arts.
In my teaching and pedagogical development, a research-oriented approach and the continuous reflection and development of teaching practice are central. The artist-pedagogical approach is particularly reflected in my work in university pedagogy and teacher pedagogy studies in the arts, which are aimed at teachers.
My artistic research engages with the artist-pedagogical perspective, with particular attention to encounter, perception, and experience, and their significance in both artistic and pedagogical practice.
