Introduction

Maarit (Mammu) Ranlanen is dance artist, pedagogue and artistic research doctoral researcher in Tutke, Theatre Academy Uniarts Helsinki. She has been working as a performer, choreographer and pedagogue for three decades in the field of contemporary arts. The is also shiatsu therapist and yoga instructor and somatic movement therapist. Her doctoral research is about dancer's embodied experience of space (inner and outer) framed by Japanese time space concept ma 間. (interval in time and space)
