Introduction
I am an artist with a background in theater studies, dance, and choreography. As a researcher, I operate through desire as method (Bayley 2022) to carve out an erotic knowledge, as Bayley discusses it in reference to Audre Lorde.
My reading practice ventures into a multiplicity of fields and horizons, thus circles most often onto feminist-queer theory, decolonial and postcolonial theory, and new materialism. I move with a deep sense of curiosity about what is not-yet-known. In terms of research, I like to invite the serendipitous, the incidental. Through that, I hope to enlarge the idea of research´s systematicity. Who recognises what is systematic? What is the rhythm of research when it is embodied?
Also, I experience my pedagogical practice as a research practice. Pedagogy-as-research puts in question the role of the pedagogue-master. As a pedagogue-researcher, I consider it my task, in the first place, to create conditions for students to explore something they just have a subtle hunch of, encouraging them by actively listening to how they talk – that is one way of doing pedagogy-as-research.
