Emilie Gardberg

Emilie Gardberg is the Dean of the Sibelius Academy at the University of the Arts Helsinki from 18 January 2021 to 31 December 2025. She is on leave of absence until 31 December 2025 with Markus Utrio deputising.

Gardberg has previously worked at the Finnish Institute in London, as the executive director of the Turku Music Festival and the chief executive of the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also taught arts management and leadership as a visiting lecturer in numerous higher education institutions.
