Studio Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki

Sibelius Academy's smallest hall in the R Building has 70 seats.

The small hall’s excellent acoustics are well suited for small chamber music ensembles and early music concerts.

In addition to the Steinway B grand piano, the hall also has a fortepiano (copy Clementi 1799) in 430 Hz tuning and a 2-fingering Mietke harpsichord built by Bruce Kennedy in 2019 (415/440 Hz).

Accessibility

The building is accessible by using the main entrance on Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu during the opening hours of the facilities. The Small Hall is accessible by using the lift. Wheelchair accessible seating is available in the hall.
