The Uniarts Helsinki Archive is responsible for the long-term storage of documents that the university and its academies produce.

The Uniarts Helsinki Archive is responsible for the long-term and permanent storage of documents that the university and its academies produce and for providing related information services. The Archive stores, e.g., the university’s and the academies’ administrative documents, teaching-related documents, documents related to artistic activities, as well as artistic and research publications.

The Uniarts Helsinki Archive also maintains the historical Sibelius Academy (1882–2012), Academy of Fine Arts (1985–2012) and Theatre Academy Helsinki (1979–2012) archives and provides related information services to researchers.

Advance retrieval orders and any inquiries should be directed to the archivist at arkisto@uniarts.fi. Please note that delivery usually takes five days.

Archive facilities

Uniarts Helsinki’s historical archives are located at the Leipätehdas in Sörnäinen, at Kaikukatu 4 A, Helsinki. There is a research room available. Visiting by appointment only.

The archive of the University of the Arts Helsinki (2013- ) is located in Töölö, Nervanderinkatu 13, Helsinki. The archive is not open to the public.
