2. Artistic activities

A brief description of a maximum of 10 artworks or projects that are of relevance for your proposed doctoral thesis, such as:

  • performances or rehearsals
  • other audio materials
  • scores or other documentation explaining how a composition is executed

Please include samples as Internet links. Ensure that the links are functional. If you upload the material to a private Vimeo or YouTube page, please provide its address and password (if any).

You may also attach the samples as separate files to your application in the Studyinfo application service. Each attachment must not be larger than one gigabyte (1 GB). Studyinfo accepts common audio and video file formats. If you attach your samples as separate files, list the titles of the attachment files at this point in your portfolio.

  • Please include a list of other projects of relevance for your proposed doctoral thesis (recordings, performances, productions, compositions, etc.) separately at the end of your portfolio (Item 7).
  • Published writings relating to your artistic activities (e.g. articles); if there are many of these, you may include a list of them at the end of the portfolio (Item 7).

Please list the details of the video recording: which works are performed, where and when it was recorded and who the musicians are. The recording where you conduct must be made with a professional (or professional student) orchestra or choir and must have a duration of 20 to 30 minutes. The recording, in which you must both conduct and rehearse the repertoire, should include 2 or 3 segments and must be shot from the perspective of the orchestra or choir so that you are facing the camera and some of the musicians or singers are also visible.
