The Sibelius Academy Opera: Così fan tutte
In spring 2026, the Sibelius Academy Opera will once again bring W. A. Mozart’s masterpiece Così fan tutte to the stage.
The full title of the work, Così fan tutte, ossia La scuola degli amanti, translates as “Thus Do They All, or The School for Lovers.” This time, the School for Lovers would be set in an American high school, with teenage first crushes and secrets behind locker doors.
The opera is directed by the internationally acclaimed, visionary Noa Naamat, who has already established herself among the most significant opera makers of the new generation. Naamat has directed for, among others, the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in London, Staatsoperette Dresden and Royal Danish Opera. She is known for her innovative storytelling and her ability to make classical works deeply captivating and relevant for today’s audiences. Her sold-out production of The Marriage of Figaro at the Sibelius Academy Opera in spring 2024 delighted audiences with its fresh and insightful approach.
The rest of the artistic team will be announced at the end of 2025.
Duration: three hours including an intermission.
