Liisa Pohjola in Memoriam
Former students of the pianist and pedagogue Liisa Pohjola pay tribute to their beloved teacher and mentor.

Pianist and pedagogue Liisa Pohjola occupies a unique and significant place in Finnish music history. As a pianist she had an exceptionally broad repertoire, ranging from to contemporary music, and as a pedagogue, her contributions in the field are among the most significant in Finland. Liisa was a strong champion of contemporary music, including collaborations with composers such as György Ligeti, Usko Meriläinen, Kalevi Aho and Erik Bergman, and this concert program also includes music premiered by Liisa.
The concert is arranged by Helsingin pianoseura in collaboration with PianoEspoo and the Sibelius Academy.
Please note that there are a limited number of seats in the hall, which will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
