Accordion Festival 2024
The Sibelius Academy’s Accordion Festival offers a rich and varied programme that highlights the concert accordion’s multidimensionality and power of expression. The opening concert will feature new and inspiring compositions from the composition students of the Sibelius Academy, University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and Paris Conservatory. Claudia Buder’s deeply evocative concert Un chemin à suivre and Janne Valkejoki’s first postgraduate concert serve to expand our perspective on the possibilities and soundscape of the accordion.

Sibelius Academy students and teachers will join forces to educate audiences on the wide range of accordion music, including everything from folk music to the latest chamber music.
