About the artwork
I’m lying on the ground drawing treasure maps without treasures at the end. I trace my finger all over the dotted lines, their winding, adventurous spirals. There!
Like a child, I combine materials to try to achieve some kind of transformative magic. It’s a wordless little game, but a serious one. I want to let the materials and combinations speak or remain silent. At the heart of the works, there is an emotional logic at play. Everything is rooted in stories, thousands of little threads conjoining, thousands of islands forming an archipelago. There!
