Johanna Sulalampi

About the artwork
The artwork has emerged from the need to find ways to integrate plants into sculpture. The chosen plant holds cultural significance as a trade commodity. When growing wild in a garden, it possesses intrinsic value. In the sculpture, it intertwines with remembrance, symbolism, and makes time visible.
Hops thrive best when they can twist and cling to structures, spreading both vertically and horizontally.
This work has been supported by Greta och Alfred Runebergs Stiftelse.
