About the Artist
Anne Yli-Ikkelä works with sculpture and drawing. She’s intrigued by the intersection and melting point of those two. Her latest materials have included stone, wheat flour and pens. She’s interested in how light and direct gestures transfer to stubborn material, or how heavy and hard turns into fast and lively. Yli-Ikkelä’s works stem from everyday notions with a touch of lightness and playfulness.

The nose leads and the paws follow. And I am close behind.
