Content and objective of the programme
Mastering your own instrument is at the core of the studies and you will receive a lot of one-to-one instruction. Your studies will include instrument and ensemble playing, optional studies, a thesis and a maturity test, as well as optional and elective studies. You may also deepen your knowledge in pedagogy.
After completing your degree, you will be able to express yourself artistically, master your instrument and have the musical understanding needed for working in demanding positions. You may potentially pursue a career as a soloist, orchestral or chamber musician or an instrument pedagogue.
You can also choose courses organised by the other two Uniarts Helsinki academies and complete joint studies that are available to all students.
