Sold out: Henry Purcell – King Arthur

The Sibelius Academy will take over Helsinki’s Ritarihuone (The House of Nobility) for the performance of an early music masterpiece

In February 2024, the Sibelius Academy will bring an indisputable masterpiece of early music, the King Arthur opera of Henry Purcell, to the magnificent House of Nobility. The touchingly lifting music combined with the light dramatization directed by Tuuli Lindeberg and the magnificent dancers give this masterpiece the setting it deserves.

The musical direction of King Arthur is in the hands of Sibelius Academy Visiting Professor Justin Doyle, who is concluding his visit with the performance of this great work. Also participating in the performance are students from Thornton School of Music.

Come and experience this energising gem of early music performed by young prodigies!
