Sibelius Academy Baroque Orchestra
The Baroque Orchestra has established a vital position in the activities of the Early Music department.
Introduction
The orchestra performs every academic year and collaborates across department borders through, for instance, opera and oratorio productions. The musicians are Sibelius Academy Early Music main and minor subject students. The orchestra also collaborates with other institutes and students if necessary. With a growing number of enthusiastic minors, today’s orchestra musicians appreciate awareness of early music styles. Baroque instruments are here to stay.
