IN.TUNE – In­no­va­ti­ve Uni­ver­si­ties in Music & Arts in Eu­ro­pe

Uniarts Helsinki is part of a European alliance of eight universities dedicated to music and the arts.

Introduction

IN.TUNE – Innovative Universities in Music & Arts in Europe is the only European university alliance focused on music and the arts. It brings together eight prestigious universities from across Europe – with more than 10,000 students and over 4,000 staff members.

The partner universities develop joint education, high-quality research and innovation, promote seamless mobility and strengthen societal engagement. These themes are advanced through eight work packages, each led by one partner institution. Uniarts Helsinki is responsible for coordinating the research collaboration among the alliance partners.

The IN.TUNE alliance involves the entire Uniarts Helsinki community – students, researchers, teachers and administrative staff alike. Together, the partner universities are developing practices that prepare students for future work environments in the arts and culture sector. The focus is on knowledge sharing, audiovisual solutions and innovation in digitally supported mobility and collaboration.

The alliance aims to serve as a role model for the higher education sector in Europe and beyond. The European Commission has granted funding for the alliance for the years 2024–2027.
