Helsinki Music Centre - Helsingin Musiikkitalo - Organo, January 9, 2019 - 19:00  (GMT+2)
More information and tickets to the concert

This concert features music written for the viol from the early 17th century to the early 18th century. The viol was a hugely popular instrument in its day. Despite its resemblance to members of the violin family, it is more closely related to the lute.

The programme explores the various roles in which viols were used and plumbs emotions that still feel relevant to us today.
