Art pedagogy is a substantial field of study at the University of the Arts Helsinki. Music, theatre and dance teachers earn their master's degree here, and graduates work in all levels of public and private arts education in Finland. Many graduates continue their studies in doctoral programs and some return to the University as faculty or postdoctoral researchers. The field of art pedagogy, as an academic discipline, is developing steadily within the University of the Arts Helsinki, and CERADA provides a forum for collaboration across art forms. CERADA therefore provides a unique context for groundbreaking progress in both practice and research in art pedagogy.
