TADaC will tour with Jeremy Wade's Human Resources piece
Dancers from the Master’s Degree Programme in Dance will be heading outside the confines of their school, as Theatre Academy’s Dance Company TADaC tours Finland and Estonia with the piece Human Resources. The dance piece was created by internationally renowned choreographer Jeremy Wade.
Human Resources forms a part of the dance students’ final thesis. It was choreographed by Jeremy Wade during his tenure as visiting choreographer for the Theatre Academy in the winter 2014-2015. Read more about the dance piece from: www.uniarts.fi/en/tadac
The tour includes the cities of Kuopio and Oulu and will also extend to Tallinn and Viljandi in Estonia.
Jeremy Wade graduated in 2000 from the Amsterdam School for New Dance Development. He resides in Berlin and has worked closely with e.g. the HAU Hebbel am User -theatre and playwright Eike Wittrock. Known for his work as a choreographer and director, Wade has also been awarded with the New York Bessie.
Human Resources is the final thesis of dance students graduating from the respective Master’s Degree Programme. In the heels of graduating, dancers perform a professionally choreographed piece and present it in their school, as well as around Finland. The aim is to prime dance artists to work as dance professionals in the future, as they gather experience in performing in different spaces and cultural surroundings. The creative director for TADaC is Ari Tenhula.
