Choreography program on field trips.

15.-18.3. The choreography MA students visited the Tanzzplatfrom Essen.

Initiated in 1990, the biennal Dance Platform constitutes the most important event on the contemporary dance calendar in Germany, taking place every other year. It consists of performances, artist talks and discussions forming a diverse overview on contemporary choreography.

This year the program included of Boris Charmatzs 10000 Movements, Xavier Le Roys Temporary Tittle, 2015 and Eszter Salamons MONUMENT 0.5: The Valeska Gert Monument which is part of her Monument series and a recognition of Gerts work dealing with gender, race and nationality - to mention few.

The Exhange -platform consisted of the Meeting Place with thematical keynotes, the festival center in PACT Zollverein and of the Late Night Studio Talk bar where the festival guests could discuss about each days themes and events.

Next Moscow and Tallinn

Next international lecture and performace collaboration will happen in May when the MA students of choreography and dance performance performe their collaborative demonstrations at the Tallinn University. The choreography program will take part to Russia program organized by Dance Info Finland and funded by Ministry of Education and Culture. From Tallinn they continue to Moscow, Culture Center ZIL, where the craduating choreographers will give presentations on their thesis projects as part of an event on student exhange. The central stage of contemporary dance of the Moscow operates in the ZIL and it's artistic director is Anastasia Proshutinskaja. In addition to the TeaK students visits the leaders of the degree programs will give lectures and the local students will also present their work.
